Desires for God

‭Psalms 143:6 NLT‬
[6] I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Interlude

Our desires for God increases when we experience spiritual dryness and depth hunger (spiritual feelings) for Him.

Usually, these desires only disappear when we engage in intense prayers. This is not just normal prayers, but a mutual communication with God that draws your heart to Him so you can know what the will of God is.

The next time you experience an inner, spiritual urge, do not hesitate to pray.

For the Christian, prayer is when you engage God in personal, cordial conversation with Him, and you can talk about various issues that is on your mind.

Hold on! He held on, too!

Hebrews 4:14-15 NIV
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. [15] For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Hold on, He held on, too!

Jesus experienced the same thing we experience today. So, He is in a good position to offer help, succor, grace, and mercy in times of need.

Now, the gracious part of this is Jesus ability to understand and feel the same way we feel, the same problems we encounter, the same shame and disgrace, the same mistakes, the same mess, the same shortcomings, and the same failures, yet in all these things, He didn’t fail. He triumphed.

So, He is in the best position to put us in the right standing with Him.

The Good God

Psalm 34:8 NIV
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

So, it means you have to try God and see that He is good.

You have to experience Him,

experience His goodness,

His kindness,

His magnificent and splendid nature,

His mercy,

His grace,

His endless love,

and God’s everlasting compassion and forgiving nature to see that,

without any doubt,

God is good, forever good!

Faithful God is

Psalm 145:17-19 NIV
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. [18] The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. [19] He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

This is comforting knowing that God cares when we least expected or when our efforts fail.

God is careful in taking care of His own and helping them bear the toughest challenges of life.

God is God!

God is not man.

He is different!

He is God!

Exo 34:6 NET The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed: “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness,

Exo 34:7 NET keeping loyal love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. But he by no means leaves the guilty unpunished, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children and children’s children, to the third and fourth generation.”

Fix your eyes on Him

Hebrews 12:2 NIV
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Fix your eyes on Jesus. Do not relent looking unto Jesus.

‭Psalms 34:5 ERV‬
[5] If you look to him for help, he will put a smile on your face. You will have no need to be ashamed.

God will not fail you in your time of need.

He is faithful.

God is so good.
Jesus is so loving…so, so sweet, loving Jesus ❤️

Jesus lives again to live forever

Praise God Jesus rose from the dead!

If he had not risen, Christianity and the faith would not have been possible, and humanity would have been doomed in her decadence and depravity.

Thank God we are not hopeless and destitute. We have a future and an assurance that the life we have in Jesus is eternal life.

Here in lies our confidence that because Jesus lives forever, we also will live forever with Him in eternity.

Amen!
