It’s 2024, a new year full of opportunities and advantages.
So, Why not talk to God about your aspirations and desires.
At least, give it a chance! Talk to Him about it.
Stop thinking about it; start talking to Him about it.
A life changing investment
Every time we make decisions and choices, it is an act of deciding our future and how it takes its shape.
Every reasonable decision has a life-changing impact that can turn out for good.
Good decisions make a good life and bad decisions make a bad life.
Each time we make decisions, it becomes an investment in our lives.
A good investment would likely result in a good life, and a bad investment results in a bad life.
For instance, investing in education can result in a (wide) variety of good things for an individual. Also, investment in your kids can give them a bright future, etc.
Decisions to commit your life to God can and should result in eternal life.
Thus, our decisions end up being the investment we make to have a meaningful life or a terrible one.
The decision to live a good life is a life-changing investment.
Live for eternity
1 John 2:17 ERV
[17] The world is passing away, and all the things that people want in the world are passing away. But whoever does what God wants will live forever.
No one ever born lives forever. Everyone dies at one point in time.
Either you die a natural cause, or through human activities or death kills you.
Yes, Everyone will die
So, why not live for eternity. Live like you own nothing here but owns everything in the life beyond.
If we understand what life is, we would make better decisions about how we live on earth.
Everything we run after will not go with us to the grave.
2 Peter 3:10-12 ERV
[10] But the day when the Lord comes again will surprise everyone like the coming of a thief. The sky will disappear with a loud noise. Everything in the sky will be destroyed with fire. And the earth and everything in it will be burned up. [11] Everything will be destroyed in this way. So what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and devoted to God. [12] You should be looking forward to the day of God, wanting more than anything else for it to come soon. When it comes, the sky will be destroyed with fire, and everything in the sky will melt with heat.
Lost priority in a lost world
The devil is the prince of this world (John 14:30). So, to try out shining (become famous, popular, excessively materialistic) in his (devil) world is a lost priority and evidence of a punctured destiny.
This world is not our own, and it’s passing away with all that is in it.
The understanding of this should help us set our priorities right and stay focus amidst noises and turmoil that rages around us on daily basis.
Any reason to be thankful
A lot of things is challenging in life, but as long as we trust and hope, then there’s a chance of a bright future.
Don’t give up yet, but reflect on the positive things and build on it as you grow.
So, hopefully, you wake up this morning and thank God for everything.
If you focus on the negative sides of life, you will be depressed, but if you think about the positive things, you will be happy.
Lack of love
Jesus repeatedly emphasized how important it is to love the brethren and to love one another.
People will only seek their interest, and the Bible says in humility, consider others better than yourself.
We are told to condescend to the interest of others.
A selfish life thinks only about self and personal satisfaction, but a love life thinks about others and their well-being.
Conflicts from within
The war or evil from inside is the situation any believer faces when he has to contend with attacks and malign behaviors from fellow Christians.
Wisdom nuggets
Do not trust more than you should. This way, you won’t be disappointed if they let you down.
Those who think they know a lot usually don’t know a lot. Besides, no one knows everything.
You will likely encounter a lot of obstacles on your way. In all, stay through to yourself. Do not fail yourself!
Anyone can get tired. So, take some rest frequently.
There will always be a replacement. So, don’t stress yourself out doing it all.
Hatred and racism have always been in the heart of man. Will it change now? My resounding answer is a big No!
Seek your happiness and do things that make you happy.
Turn down and stay away from anything that does not align and help fulfill your goals and purpose in life no matter how enticing it is.
In most cases, people look out for their interests first before they look out for you.
Believing the truth is simple but people chose to embrace lies and falsehood.
Wisdom nuggets
Your weaknesses make you prone to attack.
Weaknesses are evidence that we are not perfect beings.
Weak spots are a target for the enemy.
It is humility to acknowledge your weakness and ask for help. It is also a smart thing to do.
Acknowledging your weak areas is a sign of strength.
Always ask for help in your weak/vulnerable areas.

A man’s struggle reduces significantly with any external help or assistance.
Do not align yourself with someone who has a different value system or mindset. It messes up your rhythm.
Trying to befriend a person who does not believe in what you believe is like trying to play cards with the devil.

Positioning yourself- take action
Rth 3:4 NET When he gets ready to go to sleep, take careful notice of the place where he lies down. Then go, uncover his legs, and lie down beside him. He will tell you what you should do.”
This is really fascinating to me. This is Ruth saying to Boaz, “here I am. I am available for you.”
For Ruth to make this bold and brittle move, she must be so confident in herself, and quite audacious.
It is a rare but necessary move if Ruth is going to settle down in her new-found home.
Ruth didn’t impose or force herself on Boaz. She waited and carefully do the normal ritual appropriate at the moment.
The ability to read and understand the time, the mood, and the circumstances is impressive.
I believe that this is what made Ruth secure her place in life, not self-righteousness, sneaky behavior, attitude or being cocky.
Nowadays, we seek to do it our own way and we often make mistakes.
Ruth listened to her mother-in-law, and followed the instructions that got her the rightful position.
Who has ear let him hear!
