Keep It Up

Our daily lives are so busy with so many things to accomplish and do. Many of the things we do are not necessarily of eternal values. They are just earthly relevant.

It is the responsibility of the believer to keep up the light shining and the fire burning.

The worries of this life: the desires to achieve and be successful are strong but the grace of God is greater and stronger.

The Bible said, “But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.

There are vital ingredients that are useful to keeping it up in your faith–stay in love, build your faith through the Word and never stop praying.

Don’t be caught in the web of this lives, and refuse to worry about anything by focusing on God who promise to be with you forever. If you do this, you will not lose your momentum and you will be able to encourage others too.

Turn Your Complaints into Prayers

Instead of complaining to God and everyone, you can use the same energy to pray and achieve great result.

Prayer is an effective tool

Complaining does not guarantee anything other than waste of energy and resources.

The Israelites are a perfect example. They complained to God and Moses throughout their Exodus journey. Many of them could not get to the promise Land.

The Bible encourages us to make all our request known to God. You can do this by telling Him rather than complaining.

The same amount of energy and resources is required to achieve complain and prayer. But one is effective and the other is not.
Turn to God and turn your request unto Him in prayers and see results as it unfolds.
Greater glory lies ahead.

The Lord’s Doing

The Psalmist says that “When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.”
The psalmist further says that “the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
The way and manner of God’s work and ways are unbelievable. God knows all things and He knows how to get things done the right way at the right time.

The Lord’s doing is always a good doing even when it does not appear so in our human eyes.

The reason for this is because He knows what to do every given time and He is not confused by situations or circumstances.

Therefore, He is perfect in His nature and perfect in everything. No wonder Paul said the ways of God are unsearchable.

The Lord do only what He can do. Thus, He has no rival ever.

He is God and will be God forever.

The Resurrection

On Sunday, the third day, our Lord Jesus Christ resurrected! Praise God! Hallelujah! The victory is now completed. He died on the cross, He ransomed us from punishment, He rescued us from eternal damnation , He saved us from spiritual annihilation, He delivered us from sin and from the shackles of death.

The Cross, my freedom

He did it all and capped it by resurrecting to show that no other power is greater than Him, and no contention that He is truly the Son of God that came from God as a gift for Humanity–to draw us, the lost, to a loving God.

How would it be if the believers are without hope of a living God. Paul said, we would be the most pitied people on earth. It was so important that Jesus resurrected because this is our only Hope; this is our essence, our life our existence and our freedom.

I think Jesus “came, saw and conquered!”

Now, this is our freedom and our joy in that we serve a living God who we can run to and be welcomed. I am thrilled and so happy that I am saved, not just for now but forever.

Hallelujah! He lives forever.

A Change No One Expect

This is a change. This is a transformation no one expected. Everyone wakes up only to realize that your life has changed; your life took a new turn. Some are surprised. Some are happy while some may not. Yes, because they do not expect the change.

Be Free!

The change is a transformation of life which start from within. How can this be? It’s only a supernatural manifestation that can alter a natural occurrence.

A changed life means a complete turn-around from an old life to a new life. Sometimes, a man can decide to quit smoking or drugs and alcohol. It may even be a dangerous way of life that you are giving up. This type of efforts and decisions do not often last because it is not accompanied by a supernatural force that brings about the needed change. Some do last with help from other people.

My point is this, no matter how we try to live differently, we still need a supernatural God to bring about the ultimate change. What we cannot or accomplish all by our-self, He can and He will if we let Him in.

The transformation God brings create a new You. He takes away the “old” and gives the “new” in while still maintaining the container. He does not alter the human personality, yet He makes a brand new person. After such a change, you always know you are different.

This change is what brings the new, sweet aura into your life. Let your changed life glows and glows again and again. This is your life; your destiny. You have been waiting this long for a new beginning. Now you have it. Let it glows.

Let your life shines the new light that glows around you. Live anew.

God of Imperfection

My last post was “God of Perfection“. After delving into my current study of Exodus, I came to realize that God specializes in using imperfect people, materials or things and turning them into the best mold.

The Bible says that “we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” The “jars of clay” is our mere, frail and breakable human self which God has committed, chose to place his trust in. God deposited great amount of Grace in an undeserved container. The “container” is us. This is an awesome privilege.

Imperfect being serving a perfect God

Let’s look at some examples. We often hear–no one is perfect–and this is true.

Father Abraham tried to help fulfil The Promise when he went in to Hagar.

Moses, for instance, who led the Israelites out of the slavery land was not near perfect. He had many flaws.

David is forever noted for his famous sin with Bathsheba, yet, he is the man after God’s own heart.

Saul who later turned Paul was a killer of God’s people. He went on to write most books in the New Testament.

So, from perception, God has never relied on man’s ability to do but on man’s willingness to trust and obey Him.

Therefore, God is willing and able to turn your imperfect state to the best if you can yield and obey.

Seasons Reminder

Season Reminder

A current season only reminds us that another season will come. Snowtime only reminds us that the Spring will come and when the Springs finally arrives, we know that the summer is in the corner.

The rain only reminds us that the flowers will soon sprout. And the hard soil reminds us that we should wait a little more and the rain will soften the hard crust.

It is appropriate that a farmer who has spent the early Spring planting to expect harvesting in the Fall.

A hardworking student gets success. Diligent entrepreneurs experience business growth and profit. A loving husband enjoys his marital home, and a caring wife wins the love of his lover.

The present problems and challenges of life are just a reminder that the glorious season will come, and we will smile again.

Weeping endures only for a moment, but joy comes in the morning.

Challenges are just a reminder that we can patiently find the solution that makes for a better living.

Challenges are a season, and it will pass. When you have the desired results, and the solutions are in your hands, your season of rejoicing is here.

God’s Will–Now I know His Will

God’s Will

Whatever you know now is sufficient to take you to the next level where you can get to know more. So, you only need to make use of what you know to gain additional knowledge. Knowledge not utilized goes stale (goes bad).

Make use of what you have now to gain more. You already have the spirit of the All-Knowing Being inside of you, and you know all things–if you believe.

If you have just one idea/knowledge, that’s all you need. And if it is two or three or four or five talents is what you have, use it to gain more. This is what you need and this is God’s will for you– to increase all-round.
You know what He want so go ahead and do it. Stop asking any further questions. Use what you have—and gain more.

God’s Will–what exactly is His will in this case

God’s Will

Strong desires to know God’s will does not necessarily mean that we really want to do His will. Sometimes, we just want to know what God’s opinion is in this instance. And we are a curious people too. However, you cannot cajole God.

Gideon was testing God with variations again and again. Moses did the same thing. Today, at least in the New Testament, this is called “doubt”, and God is not happy with this. Read James 1:6-7.

Does God care about what we do? Yes! But does He care about your day to day activities? Yes, but He gives you that control without reservation.

So, does God care about what you eat? yes, but go ahead and eat whatever you like that you think is good and bless it.

How about clothing? Go ahead put on decent clothing and nice materials. Shoes? Wear nice ones. When to wake up? When to take your bath? Where to go today? Should I make that call? Which bus to enter to work or market?

I say to you, go ahead and do whatever you desire to do and you will be doing what He really want you to do–His Will. The reason is because He made us free-will beings. How about tougher decisions like friends, changing job and getting married?

If God is your God, He will guide your heart to make the right decisions and whatever you decide to do will be what He really want you to do. But He as to really be your God to guide your heart. This is like saying that I have to really be the child of the President to be called the president’s Son.

As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

God’s Will–about making mistakes

God’s will

Mistakes does not mean failure. It means that we have to try again. And thank God that we have a good, good father who helps us when we fail by raising us up again. Sweet God!

Don`t be scared to fall because when you fall, you will rise again. God will not abandon you in the valley.

It is not God’s will that we should continue doing the wrong thing again and again. But He does not really care about our mistakes because He knows we can and will make mistakes. He cares about our attitude to the mistakes we make.

So, when you fall–run to God like Peter when he wept after betraying Jesus, like David when he sinned against God and God had no choice but to call Him–a man after my own heart (Acts 13:22), and like You– because you are willing to obey this truth and live a different and a better life.

We are imperfect being living in an imperfect world who must receive corrections and instructions until we enter eternity. Therefore, when you fall, rise immediately–this is His will.
