The first thing the believers need to know is that they are a victorious people. This mentality alone will always defeat the enemy. Satan get weary of a Christian who doesn’t give up.
Your authority over the devil is the same authority that Jesus have. You have equal power in His name to defeat all wicked arrows of the enemies.
Therefore, understand that you are fighting from the victory stands. You can never be defeated without you defeating yourself. So, you must defeat yourself for the enemy to be able to defeat you.
Satan has lost all grips over you except those you allow him to have (if any). This mentality will always guarantee you a daily victory. So, even if you fall, if you keep getting back up, your authority and power over your enemies are forever guaranteed. Yes, forever guaranteed!
Do not believe in the devil’s lies. Check it out, we have equal status with Jesus because God adopted us like His Son, Jesus. This is who you are, but you need to know this.
Ephesians 1:18-21 NIV
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Live daily with this mentality and you will never experience defeat again.
The Bible says that “when the righteous prospers, the city rejoices…..” Yes, when a “good” man rules, there is peace and abundance in the land. Just the opposite happens when an evil man reigns over the land.
It occurs to me that believers cannot just afford to fold hands and do nothing while evil prevails over the land and where there are perversions in the city.
Believers must rise and pray. They must pray against the reign of evil. It is the power of prayers that can defeat evil. And the prayer of a righteous man works wonder.
So, to every believer and those who love the Lord, let us rise (and continue to rise) and take up the challenge and pray for the deliverance of the land from evil before it overtakes us all.
Only the effective prayers of the believers can defeat the power of evil that is in the land.
Rise up and knock out the evil from the land and see righteousness reign again!
I have always thought about evils that prevail in our society today. The presence of evil and the people who commit such act called evil often worries me.
My mind flashed back to the garden of Eden. In the garden, God told Adam and Eve to avoid eating the apple because if they do, the apple will open their eyes to the world of Evil. So, we can deduce that Adam and Eve did not know anything called Evil or we can say that it did not exist then.
But we all know– they did eat the apple courtesy of the devil’s temptation.
Talking about the devil, if you remove the letter “d” from his name, we have “evil”. something tells me that the author of evil must be the devil himself.
Yes, devil was the first to disobey God and leads all other and he is still leading others to disobey God.
But one quick thing is that Adam and Eve chose to listen to the devil. So, had they not listen to that evil voice, we will probably not be where we are today.
So, choose carefully who and what you listen to.
There is always a voice telling you to do something bad or terrible. You can choose to listen to the voice or you can choose to shut the voice out.
If you decide to command the evil voice to shut up and get lost, I believe that “the voice” will realize that you know who you are and that you understand your authority.
Good has the overwhelming capacity to overcome evil to the extent that we allow or enable it.
Choose to do good today and see the world become a better place.
Our daily lives are so busy with so many things to accomplish and do. Many of the things we do are not necessarily of eternal values. They are just earthly relevant.
It is the responsibility of the believer to keep up the light shining and the fire burning.
The worries of this life: the desires to achieve and be successful are strong but the grace of God is greater and stronger.
The Bible said, “But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
There are vital ingredients that are useful to keeping it up in your faith–stay in love, build your faith through the Word and never stop praying.
Don’t be caught in the web of this lives, and refuse to worry about anything by focusing on God who promise to be with you forever. If you do this, you will not lose your momentum and you will be able to encourage others too.
Instead of complaining to God and everyone, you can use the same energy to pray and achieve great result.
Complaining does not guarantee anything other than waste of energy and resources.
The Israelites are a perfect example. They complained to God and Moses throughout their Exodus journey. Many of them could not get to the promise Land.
The Bible encourages us to make all our request known to God. You can do this by telling Him rather than complaining.
The same amount of energy and resources is required to achieve complain and prayer. But one is effective and the other is not.
Turn to God and turn your request unto Him in prayers and see results as it unfolds.
Greater glory lies ahead.
The Psalmist says that “When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.”
The psalmist further says that “the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
The way and manner of God’s work and ways are unbelievable. God knows all things and He knows how to get things done the right way at the right time.
The Lord’s doing is always a good doing even when it does not appear so in our human eyes.
The reason for this is because He knows what to do every given time and He is not confused by situations or circumstances.
Therefore, He is perfect in His nature and perfect in everything. No wonder Paul said the ways of God are unsearchable.
The Lord do only what He can do. Thus, He has no rival ever.
On Sunday, the third day, our Lord Jesus Christ resurrected! Praise God! Hallelujah! The victory is now completed. He died on the cross, He ransomed us from punishment, He rescued us from eternal damnation , He saved us from spiritual annihilation, He delivered us from sin and from the shackles of death.
He did it all and capped it by resurrecting to show that no other power is greater than Him, and no contention that He is truly the Son of God that came from God as a gift for Humanity–to draw us, the lost, to a loving God.
How would it be if the believers are without hope of a living God. Paul said, we would be the most pitied people on earth. It was so important that Jesus resurrected because this is our only Hope; this is our essence, our life our existence and our freedom.
I think Jesus “came, saw and conquered!”
Now, this is our freedom and our joy in that we serve a living God who we can run to and be welcomed. I am thrilled and so happy that I am saved, not just for now but forever.
Jesus successfully defeated sin at the cross. From there, Jesus descended to the grave to accomplish another task. One major man’s tormentor: Death, has to be fought and conquered.
Jesus went into the grave and dealt a final blow on death. Whenever a man dies, he is buried in the grave and potentially, this is the final blow for man. Jesus had to fight death and conquered it so that man can be free not just from sin but also from death’s power.
So, if any man dies even though he goes into the grave, the grave can no longer hold him forever because if he believes, he goes to God’s paradise.
More importantly, spiritual death means separation from God forever and this is ultimately why death has to be conquered so that when man who believe in God dies, he does not really die. Yes, he is only transformed and changed to a new “person”. Bible says, “Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” This is everlasting freedom.
So, this is why no Christian should be afraid of death by any means. Jesus successfully conquered death. He has the power to save us ultimately from both physical and spiritual death.
This is mind-blowing. His love is relentless and endless and just too much. Sometimes, when I think of how much love He has for us, tears roll down my cheeks. I cannot thank Him enough.
Jesus conquered sin and also conquered death. We are infinitely free, and free forevermore.
This is a change. This is a transformation no one expected. Everyone wakes up only to realize that your life has changed; your life took a new turn. Some are surprised. Some are happy while some may not. Yes, because they do not expect the change.
The change is a transformation of life which start from within. How can this be? It’s only a supernatural manifestation that can alter a natural occurrence.
A changed life means a complete turn-around from an old life to a new life. Sometimes, a man can decide to quit smoking or drugs and alcohol. It may even be a dangerous way of life that you are giving up. This type of efforts and decisions do not often last because it is not accompanied by a supernatural force that brings about the needed change. Some do last with help from other people.
My point is this, no matter how we try to live differently, we still need a supernatural God to bring about the ultimate change. What we cannot or accomplish all by our-self, He can and He will if we let Him in.
The transformation God brings create a new You. He takes away the “old” and gives the “new” in while still maintaining the container. He does not alter the human personality, yet He makes a brand new person. After such a change, you always know you are different.
This change is what brings the new, sweet aura into your life. Let your changed life glows and glows again and again. This is your life; your destiny. You have been waiting this long for a new beginning. Now you have it. Let it glows.
Let your life shines the new light that glows around you. Live anew.
My last post was “God of Perfection“. After delving into my current study of Exodus, I came to realize that God specializes in using imperfect people, materials or things and turning them into the best mold.
The Bible says that “we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” The “jars of clay” is our mere, frail and breakable human self which God has committed, chose to place his trust in. God deposited great amount of Grace in an undeserved container. The “container” is us. This is an awesome privilege.
Let’s look at some examples. We often hear–no one is perfect–and this is true.
Father Abraham tried to help fulfil The Promise when he went in to Hagar.
Moses, for instance, who led the Israelites out of the slavery land was not near perfect. He had many flaws.
David is forever noted for his famous sin with Bathsheba, yet, he is the man after God’s own heart.
Saul who later turned Paul was a killer of God’s people. He went on to write most books in the New Testament.
So, from perception, God has never relied on man’s ability to do but on man’s willingness to trust and obey Him.
Therefore, God is willing and able to turn your imperfect state to the best if you can yield and obey.
