Pass the torch to your offspring

The essence and beauty of life is when you are able to procreate and pass on life to others who, in turn, do same, too.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Genesis 2:24.

As you aged, other things you cannot do, like your aspirations, plans, projects, and your legacy, pass it on to your offspring who will live your dream come through.

Do not struggle to achieve all in your old age.

For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you since my coming. And now, when shall I also provide for my own house?”
Genesis 30:30 NKJV

Allow your children to live their own dream. Give them the space and time.
When they are successful, you will be delightful. And you will live your old age with a feeling of fulfillment.

Part of living the best of life is seeing others live the best of their lives, especially your own heritage.

Happy Mother’s Day!

When God

Created mothers

All as lovely

As can be,

He made one

Extra special

And saved her just for me!

Of all the special

Joys In life

the big ones

And the small

A mother’s love

And tenderness

Is the greatest

Of them all.

My mother’s love Is like no other.

Her tenderness and care are boundless,

Her love for us is perfect.

She’s there through thick and thin,

A constant source of love within.

She is strong, brave, and courageous

Mothers are emotional, but their emotion is their strength as they exude true and genuine love to everyone

Give them all the praise there is, they deserve it!

For all the lovely mothers and all the mothers-to-be,

I want to say happy Mother’s Day to you all!

Wisdom for this time

Every man has the power to create because of his god-like nature in them.

Generally, when the light comes, darkness must disappear.

Darkness always gives way for light to shine, but darkness often enjoys a slight moment of time.

Most times, it appears that darkness is too prevalent, but in no time, light always finds ways to shine, and darkness must disappear.

As long as darkness cannot last long before the light shines, so evil cannot last long before good overtakes it.

One thing is certain concerning evil people– they will surely be punished for their wickedness.

Truly, the power of creation is in the tongue. This is why truth is powerful, but lies can be deadly.

God, also, is constantly looking for where to shine. He can not operate in a vacuum. He needs a vessel.

Even in the dark, God can still perform. So, where the odds are significantly stacked against Him, He is capable of working wonders. This is why we have what is called a “miracle.”

God experienced darkness too when He (Jesus) was on earth in the form of man.

It is true that whatever you have to do, do it quickly. Truer is the fact that you also tend to forget the needful when you don’t do it at the right time, thereby losing momentum.

Timely Wisdom

Every single relationship cost you time, resources, energy.

For a good man, persecution and opposition are inevitable.

Remember that God knows about everything including all the unfavorable events in the future.

If you cannot finish it, whatever it is, your descendants (offspring) will.

God’s promises are ever sure, regardless.

There will always be oppositions and obstacles to contest with.

God’s idea and wisdom supercede.

Second choice is generally not the best choice. That is why it is the second choice.

God’s promises are certain to come to pass.

One of the major reasons people lie is because of fear of punishment.

The Price of Salvation: what the world can do

Jesus said, in this world, you shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The world hates Jesus, and so do His followers too.

The believers will experience persecution.

Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12

The believers will experience various accusations.

Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last— salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10

The world can kill the body but not the soul.

“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

Fear the person who has the power to kill both the body and the soul.
The believer’s home is eternally secured. John 14:1-2
Therefore, Christians can take solace and comfort in an eternal home guaranteed.

The Price of Salvation: what you can do

God did His part of salvation by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

It took the sinless man to die for the sinful before there was a remission of sin.

In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:22

Now, it is our turn to do our part by living a new life created through the regenerated power of God by the new birth.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17

We must live deliberately for God. We must live to please God, who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

We must make an effort to make our daily living a worthy example of followers of Jesus.

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children. Ephesians 5:1

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24

We also need to make sacrifices as there will be challenges for our new faith.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Romans 12:1

Lastly, we must ask God for the power to live a new life.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Romans 6:4

If we do these, the price of our salvation will never be in vain.

The Price of Salvation: what you cannot do

We should always remember that the price of salvation cost Jesus His death on the cross. Therefore, we should learn to guide and keep our salvation.

Salvation means that we are saved from sin and death, from this world and all its degradation.

After the salvation experience, we cannot continue to live the old life.

If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. 1 John 3:14

Shall we continue in sin, and the grace abounds, no!

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Romans 6:1

We cannot live the life we lived before we were saved, and we must make an effort to live our new life daily.

Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. Philippians 2:12

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Make a conscious, deliberate effort to achieve this.

If we deliberately live our new life in Christ, God will give us the grace to live each day.

And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6

Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, Romans 5:20

For we walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

And it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:13

May God’s grace never depart from us in Jesus name. Amen!

The Price of Salvation: death on the cross

Jesus Christ died and was nailed on the cross. This was the price He paid for our salvation.

When He died, He shed His blood. The Bible says that “without the shedding of blood, there is no redemption or forgiveness from sin.” Hebrews 9:22.

The price Jesus paid was the death and the agony He endured at the cross.

Hebrews 9:28 NIV so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

If Jesus had not gone through this, we would still be in our sinful state, and destitute for eternal destruction.

Romans 5:8 NIV But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus paid the price for our salvation.

He paid it all because He had us in His mind from the foundation of the world.

The Price of Salvation: call on Him

It cost God, the Father, the life of His son to provide salvation for mankind.

Jesus laid down His life like a shepherd to his sheep to bring us deliverance from the power of sin and gift us salvation.

John 10:11 says: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

He bore the cost so that we don’t have to pay any price for our freedom anymore.

Salvation is free, but you have to take a simple step of faith.

Romans 10:13 NIV for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved .”

All you need to do is call on the Lord and you will be saved.

The Price you pay, which is calling on the Lord, to be saved, is incomparable to the price Jesus paid to bring you the salvation.

How the devil uses good people

The devil uses good people. It’s all about availability.

If you give yourself to the devil and the devil sees an opening, he’ll enter and take advantage.

and give no opportunity to the devil. Ephesians 4:27

A good example is King Saul. The Bible says an evil spirit possessed him, and the evil spirit made him try and kill David.

Now the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a harmful spirit from the LORD tormented him. 1 Samuel 16:14

But one day when Saul was sitting at home, with spear in hand, the tormenting spirit from the LORD suddenly came upon him again. As David played his harp, 1 Samuel 19:9

Saul hurled his spear at David. But David dodged out of the way, and leaving the spear stuck in the wall, he fled and escaped into the night. 1 Samuel 19:10

Another example is Peter.

Jesus told Peter to pray so the devil won’t have power over him.

Peter couldn’t stand the test of time because he didn’t spend time praying.

The lack of prayer allowed the devil to use him to deny Jesus. He denied Jesus three times.

The devil still uses good people today. The devil can use Christians who are careless and not prayerful.

The devil uses Christians to disrupt God’s plan and purpose. He uses them to create discord and confusion among people.

The devil likes to use overzealous and hypocritical Christians to cause havoc among God’s people.

Therefore, Christians should be watchful at all times by praying regularly so that the devil does not have power over them.

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
