The Price of Salvation: what the world can do

Jesus said, in this world, you shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The world hates Jesus, and so do His followers too.

The believers will experience persecution.

Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12

The believers will experience various accusations.

Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last— salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10

The world can kill the body but not the soul.

“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

Fear the person who has the power to kill both the body and the soul.
The believer’s home is eternally secured. John 14:1-2
Therefore, Christians can take solace and comfort in an eternal home guaranteed.

The Price of Salvation: what you can do

God did His part of salvation by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

It took the sinless man to die for the sinful before there was a remission of sin.

In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:22

Now, it is our turn to do our part by living a new life created through the regenerated power of God by the new birth.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17

We must live deliberately for God. We must live to please God, who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

We must make an effort to make our daily living a worthy example of followers of Jesus.

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children. Ephesians 5:1

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24

We also need to make sacrifices as there will be challenges for our new faith.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Romans 12:1

Lastly, we must ask God for the power to live a new life.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Romans 6:4

If we do these, the price of our salvation will never be in vain.

The Price of Salvation: what you cannot do

We should always remember that the price of salvation cost Jesus His death on the cross. Therefore, we should learn to guide and keep our salvation.

Salvation means that we are saved from sin and death, from this world and all its degradation.

After the salvation experience, we cannot continue to live the old life.

If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. 1 John 3:14

Shall we continue in sin, and the grace abounds, no!

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Romans 6:1

We cannot live the life we lived before we were saved, and we must make an effort to live our new life daily.

Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. Philippians 2:12

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Make a conscious, deliberate effort to achieve this.

If we deliberately live our new life in Christ, God will give us the grace to live each day.

And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6

Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, Romans 5:20

For we walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

And it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:13

May God’s grace never depart from us in Jesus name. Amen!

The quiet day

So, Jesus died on the cross on Friday.

There was a lot of chaos and talking about Jesus leading to His death.

Then came Saturday, and everything was quiet. No one is saying anything.

The quiet day.

But it seems that the quiet day was the most active day for Jesus.

He was busy fighting on our behalf, fighting against death, Satan, and our sin.

He fought and defeated all our enemies.

This is the only reason we claim victory even before we fight any battle because Jesus won it all for us.

I’m confident that Sunday’s coming, and there will resume talking and, of course, some great things.

The quiet day was the day Jesus conquered all. Amen!

Keep on Praying

These are extraordinary times and call for us to seek God more than ever before.
We have a promise that God will hear us if only we pray. We cannot be complacent and indifferent rather we should be concerned that the world around us seems to be crumbling.

This is the time to arise, pray to God.

“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”

Let us call on God and pray so He may heal and deliver our land.

Don’t stop praying; keep on praying until there is a change and our land is healed and restored.

Let us arise and pray to God who can save us from all our troubles.

Victory at last

When Jesus said, “it is finished”, I perceived He was saying that He’s conquered all and defeated the enemy.

Before making those affirmative words, He was heavily burdened by the sufferings but afterwards, He declared victory over sin, Satan and death.

Victory @ last!

So, as believers who believed in Him, you rise up not in fear but in faith and declare your victory over sin, Satan, death, failures, failing marriages, failing businesses, falling projects, sicknesses and diseases, including coronavirus. Victory is ours in Jesus name

You must get up and say to that “thing”, whatever it is, “get up and get lost!”

the weakest believer on any day is stronger than the enemy the moment He recognizes and exercise the God given authority.

Victory at last!

More Mercy oh God!

God said in Exodus 33:19,
And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

He chooses one person and the other He reject. Those who disobey Him He punishes and those who humbly ask for forgiveness He pardons.

We need God’s mercy more than we need His material blessings. In fact, if God doesn’t show us mercy, we won’t have life to enjoy the other blessings.

Multiple times the bible says that if we humble and pray, God will heal us, deliver us, set us free, and after a while, He will settle us and establish us.

Let us run to God. Turn to Him for mercy. Mercy is what we need this time.

Will you seek His face and pray and ask for just one thing ? His Mercy.

Salvation is here!

Revelation 12:10 KJV
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Salvation is here!

Salvation is here for those who put their trust and hope in God who never fails. The power of God in Christ Jesus is stronger enough to defeat sickness, disease and death. Salvation is here and as we gaze at Him, we receive our deliverance.

Romans 13:11 KJV
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

This is the time to draw closer to God than ever. When all else fails, we have an assurance that God never fails. He always makes a way where there is no way. Let us use this moment of time to draw to saving grace of God and our deliverance will surely come. Amen.

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Although science is very good (and I know this) but it cannot save if God who is the giver of everything withholds the knowledge. If we lack anything, it makes sense to ask God who gives it. Our salvation is from God and in Him. There is no other way by which we can be saved other than the way God has made. Let us run to God with full assurance that God is our helper and lifter of our soul.

Psalm 27:1 KJV
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Fear can kill and most of us can acknowledge this. Faith is not being unreasonable. it is simply trusting in God’s word and in His promises. For an ordinary mind, this is super hard because it often does not make sense. If it makes sense, why do we have to trust God? It is because it does not make sense that is why we trust Him. You do not expect or hope for what you already have but for what you do not have.

Psalm 37:39 KJV
But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

In this time of trouble, the Lord is our strength and our capability. If we trust Him He will save us and deliver us from all our trouble.

He (God) will come and save us.

Hope is here!

Our hope is in God the creator of heaven and the earth. We are confident God can do what no man can do. Our hope is that when men fail, God remains faithful. Our hope is that God can never fail no matter the situation.

Hope is here!

Let us never forget that this earth is passing away with all its pleasure. And nothing really lasts forever including riches, wealth, fame, etc. Life and everything in it are passing away. Therefore, hope is needed especially in a time like this.

Hope is knowing with confidence that what we are expecting will happen.

This requires trusting God that He can keep every of His promises. Let us use this time that our world is experiencing what seems like a plague to turn to God, perhaps God is using it to get our attention since the Coronavirus successfully holds the world bound.

Here are several Words to encourage us to thrust all our hope in the unfailing God in whose Hands we are forever secure.

Our hope remains if God remains. And God remains Forever. Amen!

1 Corinthians 13:13 KJV
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 15:19 KJV
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Psalm 31:24 KJV
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalm 42:5 KJV
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

Psalm 119:114 KJV
Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Psalm 130:5 KJV
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Psalm 147:11 KJV
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Help is here!

In a time like this, it is difficult to fully understand what is going on and why now?
There is panic, fear and anxiety everywhere as people try to find a way out of this current situation.

Help is here!

We know that fear in itself is a dangerous element. Fear kills and this is more devastating than the object feared.
So, what can we do at this time? We can turn to God. The Psalmist says in Psalm 121:1-2, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

I believe we need help from God more than ever before and He can help us if we turn to Him.
We should not let fear defeat us. We should turn to God and help will come if we acknowledge Him.

Psalm 121:1-8 KJV
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. [3] He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keeps thee will not slumber. [4] Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. [5] The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. [6] The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. [7] The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. [8] The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
